Silvermorgan Moon
My poor is going through her first moult and it seems a bad one. There are feathers everywhere! She is bald underneath, tail and knickers about gone! Really worried in this cold weather and snow. She is still FR with the others and they have a snuggle safe in the at night. I have fed her tuna which she does eat but is not clearing the bowl, they are all getting extra seeds and corn. She is a bit thin too ... any ideas what else I can feed her to help? Thought about bringing her in but have nowhere but a box to keep her so think she will be stressed by that and after Xmas I am back to work full time Any tips would be really appreciated x
coco
One of my ex batts Lily had a heavy moult last year all through the cold spell we had, with a bit of TLC and some extra protein she got though it. I kept her with the others as they all snuggle up at night. This year i have given mine Nettex total moulting solution in their water as it is supposed to give them extra protein. They are all looking really well and have had no problems with their moults.
Egluntyne
I'd keep her with the others, for the warmth factor, and also rate the Nettex product mentioned above.
Silvermorgan Moon
Thanks both, I will get on line and look for some Nettex total moulting solution asap, they do all snuggle up at night and having just checked they all feel warm, just cant help worrying during the day Merry Christmas
