Unsecure chicken perches

Hello all,

I realized last week that the girls have worms as I found one in a dropping and ordered some flubenvet.

I've mixed it all up as instructed but all the powder still seems to fall to the bottom so I feel like

they're not getting any.

Has anybody else had this problem?

 

Maybe I should mix it all into individual daily portions and give it to each of them

separately in their evening porridge?

If you coat the pellets very lightly with something like olive oil, the powder will stick much better.

That's a good idea, I have some cod liver oil. Will try it tomorrow!

I agree, we use linseed oil or cod liver oil... measure out however much feed they need for the 5 days and then mix the oil - enough so the pellets are very lightly coated - your hand should be slightly greasy when you take your hand out from mixing. Then once it is coated add the correct amount of wormer and mix well again.
