cluckynikki
Hello everyone, your advice please. I have had to resort to usingthe Nettex anti peck spray as Tilly my Black Rock is pecking Coffee my Warren even with a bumper bit on. Coffee just stands there and lets her do it. It is so forceful that she is sometimes almost pulled off her feet. The bumper bit had stopped the problem for a while but now it is back. I sprayed Coffee with the spray 2days ago but then found her spending ages grooming and cleaning it off herself. Later that day she was acting rather strangely, crouching down to the ground, so I hope it wasn't a reaction to having ingested so much of it, but she is ok now. Needless to say Tilly is still taking great swipes at her feathers on her chest, neck and body. Although she doesn't have any bald patches yet, she had gaps here and there. The feather pecking happens even when they are n an outdoor area of the garden which is sectioned off for them, measuring about 12ft x 6ft for the 2 of them. It has plenty of shrubs and bushes and soil to keep them happy but Tilly still turns her attentions to Coffee's feathers. I separate them when I see it happening. One goes back in the eglu and one stays outside. I am reluctant to spray Coffee again having seen how she cleaned it off herself and then acted strangely. Any suggestions? Thanks, Nikki
Egluntyne
If it is the older version, and you have been over generous with it, she could be slightly tipsy because of the alcohol content. It is best not to exceed the reccomended dosage. I'd be inclined to put a bumper bit on the bully instead.
cluckynikki
The bully has a bumper bit on already.
