Alis girls
I have to confess to being a pernickety eater as a child and my mothers insistence at eating some foods has put me off for life so I have tried not to be the same with my fussy pair - boys 15 and 9. Today I wanted to do a pud which used eggs as the girls are laying well (sorry) and having failed to find a good egg custard without cream I settled on batter type pud which uses cherries - substituted sliced bananas, 3 eggs, milk sugar and flour - very easy and delish. YS who is a prob child at best of times loved it but eldest who is much better refused to eat it saying it looked - wait for it like WITCHETY bugs (out of I'm a celeb) It didnt and was lovely. One deflated mum.

Alis girls
Thanks Snowy - my youngest would live off KFC and the oldest - possibly pizza - like is too short to make my own so please no one suggest it. generally they like my puds apple crumble , steamed puds and last yr ES had friends round for his b'day and wanted puds for sweet. His friends roots are far and wide and apart from one none of them had ever had treacle sponge - so i gave them each a spoonful to try and came back later and it had all gone. They all enjoyed it with custard. I give him a muffin each day for a snack at school and his friends try and pinch bits off it.
