fluffypigs
Hi all, I have an ill chicken (not foraging just sitting there looking miserable, runny poo, not eating, pale) and on inspection I have found tiny white dots running over her skin. Is it Northern Fowl mite? Descriptions of this mite say that they are brown but these appear to be white (I can baely see them, but near her vent where the skin is pink I can just see them moving. Could it be any other mite? Should I isolate her?
Redwing
It doesnt sound like NFM but is obviously some sort of pest I would treat them all with a powder or spray and also treat the coop
The Dogmother
I agree, NFM are tiny dark grey or black dots. Nuke 'em with a spray.
