rabbitfluff
Does anyone use a self watering system in their greenhouse and how has it performed? I'm quite often away 2 or 3 days (sometimes more) at a time so I'm going to have to set up some sort of automatic watering system. I wouldn't be able to have something connected to an outside tap, so I'm probably looking at either a dripper system or the self watering trays with capillary matting drawing water up from a reservoir. There are other systems with wicks in the pots drawing up water from a reservoir which also look quite good. Any advice on what to buy or DIY versions would be appreciated. I'll be mostly growing tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers if that makes a difference as to what's suitable. Thanks
Christian
I have a Gardena watering system for my back/front garden and veggie plot. Something like [urlhttp://www.watering.co.uk/starter-set-with-water-timer-t14e-g1398-20-p956.html]this[/url] is really flexible and you can buy extra bits and bobs like sprayers, drippers etc if you need them. The parts aren't cheap but mine have lasted 5 years so far and still doing the job well. Anything with a timer helps....
