beckyfitz
I have my incubator set up & 10 mixed hybrid eggs ready to go in I have hatched ducks with my Nursery Class previously successfully but had a lot of support from my Nursery Nurse. I've read just about everything I can find on hatching & incubating but when it comes to turning, everyone has a different opinion, ranging from once a day to seven times or more! I can see the sense in it always being an odd number so they are not left on the same side overnight. So, if you have had successful hatches using a manual or semi - how many times did you turn? Be grateful to see what you all think will get the best result Thanks x
Redwing
I've hatched batches where I have turned three times and others where I have turned five times, good hatch rates all the time so three would be ok in my opinion If you work full time then turn once in the morning, once when you get in from work and once before you go to bed Pencil an X on one side and an O on the other and an arrow indicating direction of turning - rock the eggs rather than turning them round and round (if that makes sense)
