Blue-DiamondChick07
I just had 7 out of 12 hatch, it wasn't the most straight foward hatch, but the ones that made it are lovely I'm starting to see the difference in the chicks sex wise now, which is nearly 5 weeks old.. Redwing
I've just hatched some and they were easy though I did lose some eggs early on in the incubation - I think that was probably to do with the nutritional health of the parent stock though and the time of year I bought the eggs The good eggs all hatched fine and the chicks are good and strong They are two weeks old and I cant sex them yet, i believe they can be tricky but if you have a group its easier as they can be compared - not sure what point that will be at though!! Griffin
With LF Orps the boys take forever to feather up, the girls are much quicker in general and by five weeks I've usually got a good idea. Boys combs grow quickly too. I've not had bantam Orps but I'm sure it'll be the same.
