Woke this morning to find my Legbar babies making their way into the world and in a few hours should be able to tell the sex which is exciting!!!! :D (or not... depends ;D ) lets all think girlie pink thoughts ;D

How cool, I would like some Legbars for their pretty eggs. My Legbar eggs were infertile unfortunately. Hope you get girls - my theory is to call them all 'she ' from the outset!

Pretty sure this is a Hen, looks a bit of a state as only a few hours old..Lots of dark brown fur and stripe, good eyeliner too

 

What does the blonde spot on the head mean? Looks different from the first chick

 

Again, spot on the head, but dark the first chick has no spot on the head, so confused

Couldnt actually say for sure wether any of them are girls though, mine had very definate stripes on their backs from the start, not sure about the spots either. At a guess id say girl, possibly girl, boy. Someone will be along soon to tell you though im sure

I was told that the blonde spot meant it was a male...and the dark stripe would be less defined...so I'd say girl, boy, boy.

They're doing great! Such pretty chicks, but sadly I only have one girl bit gutted about that. Now do I 'do the deed' with the boys? Or wait until the auction in April?
