Luvachicken
I have had a sore throat for 3 weeks now and a chesty cough but all the doctor could say was that I had swollen glands. So nothing that serious but during this time Matilda has had a bit of a limp so I have got quite close to her when giving her feet a wash. Yesterday I noticed that she breathes faster than Charlotte when they are sitting down together. Does Matilda have something wrong with her ? She is fine in all other ways ( but still hasn't laid an egg for ages ) and I don't think her breathing sounds any different to Charlotte. Chortle Chook
I think that cross species contagion is rare - hence all the panic about bird flu crossing to humans - so I would think it unlikely that your little chicken has caught a germ off you. Hope your sore throat gets better soon however. It is all this depressing wet weather. Several people round me seem not to have been able to shake off colds they had since Christmas
Luvachicken
Thanks for your get well message Cheaky chook. I'm glad that chickens can't catch anything from us. I wonder if chickens have any tonsils, I didn't know that dogs did until I looked it up
