madchickenlady
Hi all I have a very basic covatutto 7 incy that I got from ebay last year and managed to hatch 3 pekin chicks Anyway, I'm thinking about buying something a bit better/easier to use. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good small capacity incy? Obviously, I want good value for money
scarlettohara
Would highly recommend my Brinsea Mini Advance - my first hatch and got 100% So easy to use and I followed Redwings humidity instructions and they were spot on Only thing I did was to put in kitchen roll cut to size of turning ring, I should have done this when it stopped turning as very slippy after hatch, I put some in after first 3 and it was fine after that
Redwing
I do like the Brinsea machines, very easy to use and easy to clean The Mini Advance or bigger Octagon 20 Advance would be my recommendations
madchickenlady
I've looked at the brinsea Mini Advance, and also the Rcom King Suro (which I know is a bit more expensive ). I did consider the Rcom Mini, but three eggs is such an awkward number
the-real-tinkerbell
i have the rcom king suro and i like it ,i started with a mini manual turn one but this is far better i have eggs in it at the mo due at the weekend
crazy kc
I started with a r-com mini but upgraded to a r-com 20. They are both really good, I did find incubating 3 eggs at a time a bit of a faff though. I haven't tried a king suro but had really good hatches with both of my rcoms. madchickenlady
Think I'm erring towards the Brinsea Mini Advance. I'm hoping to have a go at serama, and as they're suppsoed to be tricky to hatch I think I might have better luck with an all singing, all dancing machine
jackthelad
I got a second hand brinsea advance off ebay and so far so good I am not very technical but have mastered the instructions. Ive six duck eggs in which were set last saturday and looks like 5 are fertile, I will be a first time mother!! its so exciting!! After setting it up, other than topping the water up every couple of days its run like clockwork, so far so good........
