Chicken boarders

Last year we had chicks and we just put the eggs in the nesting box in our eglu and our (only hen then) hen sat on them and hatched them. We have kept one of those chicks and on saturday i put 12 eggs in their nesting box and the hen from last year sits on them and then comes off she just won't stay on them. Our first hen isnt interested and i dont want for their eggs to go off or kill the chicks inside ! Please help!!! I know its only Sunday night but what if she carries on doing it?? also i dont want to have to incubate them myself!

I don't think you can make a hen broody you just have to wait. Shouldn't be long now the cold weather has gone

I know i am just a little impatient! Gd news today she sat on them for most of the day she came off them this morning for a little wander but she's allowed a bit of me time outside! I tried to get her out and to eat and drink this afternoon but she was having none of it!!!
