I don't know if this has already been covered somewhere . I would like to be able to open the cube run at the back under the cube itself. Does anyone have any tips or great ideas on how to do it safely without weakening the fox proof qualities of the run? I want to be able to site a feeder (This one) beneath the cube and the easily refill it at intervals. It is such a wasted space for me as mine are only shut in at night and if I could get the feeder in there they could get up and help themselves and let me have the odd lie in

If I remember correctly the back panel is held on with screwed down loops at the top edge and the usual green clips along the other edges. So if you were to remove the top edge fastenings and then unclip the side clips then you could just fold down the panel as needed. It would probably be fine fastened on both sides and along the bottom - if the fox is used to the back being fixed on he/she won't know if you've removed the screwed on bit.

 

I would probably add some more clips to the sides for peace of mind, and/or consider investing in releasable cable ties.

I did that with mine when I had the run divided for introductions. I unscrewed the clips at the top and put them back. I undid clips along base and one side and put a lot of clips on remaining vertical side as a hing. So I had a door.

 

I fastened it by clips on other vertical. I used cords and toggles and the same from top clips to wire. It held it very secure.
