hi all again!

well i have found out that my eglu is too big for my garden, well it is the run rather than the glu itself! it is too wide and i cant expand the room where it needs to be! doh!

just wondered if anyone had ever made their own run to fit into an eglu or had chopped the existing eglu run a bit. (not a wir)

i have 3metres length of space but only1 metre wide and eglu run is 1.5m!

cant believe it doesnt fit! my silly fault but i always forget how massive it all is!

any tips appreciated! thanks

luce

(green eglu) with no girlies...yet! but where there is a will there is a way! :-D

Have you thought of having an Eglu as thier house, then just fencing off part of the garden as the run :?: That's what we do as we have one of those very thin Victorian terraced house gardens. We have Silkies and Frizzles who don't fly and just a little picket fence across half of the garden. We do, however, have high (7ft) solid garden fencing all around the garden. The trouble is, as my Morehens disease got the better of me, the fence has gone back and back towards the house and now just divides off the patio with the chooks taking over the rest of the garden.

You could build a simple frame out of 2x4's and then use hardware cloth. This way you could make it to your exact specifications. I've seen one photo (looking for it) where they used just the first section of the run and attached it with the same clips on the inside to the new run. Picture fitting the eglu run inside the new run like a tube. It looked good.
