Donna C
Hi , as i say my two orps have ping pong size lumps quite low down on their chests and to their right. I have been on holiday for a week and neighbour sais they'd stopped laying. They are now laying but not really eating although will eat corn pasta and are thin. I can feel bone through legs. Have called vets but not there til 3.30 . Any idea's anyone?
Henslaved
Are the "lumps" bigger before they go to bed and not there in the morning? If so these lumps you describe sounds like their crop to me and nothing to worry about.
Donna C
I think they are lower and to the right, plus they are not eating much, food hardle going down at all And can feel bone all down front and through legs?????
fluffy chick
Still sounds like their crop to me with you saying 'ping pong ball size'. Is it their breast bones you can feel ? I wouldn't worry about that if it is. Do they seem ok in themselves? How long have they not been eating? Could it be the food out of date? Have you tried them with treats if they can manage them then they are probably ok!
Donna C
oh yes, will eat treats and seem o.k. Have changed food a few times but stll no good
fluffy chick
If they are eating the treats maybe they are waiting for the treats and not eating their other food. Maybe you could stop the treat for a few days to let them get hungry for their food then stick to a small amount of treats before bedtime.
