beach chick
I am rather ashamed to admit that I have only just discovered Aldi... I did try to shop there a couple of times with the kids in tow and just couldnt get my head round it, ours is more like a jumble sale than a supermarket! but went this morning ON MY OWN and managed to buy loads of stuff - food mostly - and it was VERY cheap. also 'invested' in a pack of 4 fuchsias for someting like £2.99 which seemed a good deal. beach chick
well, I went back today - got a brilliant pair of ratchet loppers for 9.99, and what I would describe as a cross between secateurs and miniloppers for 4.99. seriously good, both of them - really sharp, do the job in a 10th of the time compared with what I have been struggling along with. mr beach chick says to go and buy some more and put them in storage, as I am bound to leave them out to rust one night... Charlottechicken
Well done for 'discovering' Aldi The offers in both Lidl and Aldi are excellent, and the quality of the goods they sell is very high for the price. The fruit trees are brilliant!
Old Speckled Hen
The fruit trees are brilliant! Absolutely. I bought four bare root apple trees last autumn for £4.99 and this spring they are laden with blossom
joybelle
We go to Aldi every week and find their food very good quality and so much cheaper than the other supermarkets, also their washing powder ,washing up liqued etc is also good joy
Old Speckled Hen
Yes, a regular shopper there but you have to watch some foodstuffs. We have a Morrisons across the road from the Aldi store and prices are often cheaper there. Aldi's special offers are good but I steer clear of their electronic stuff as after sales sucks.
