Gladys and Agnes
Hello fellow chicken lovers.... Not really posted much on here but learnt loads from you lot by lurking in the background so thanks very much Only had "the girls" for just over a week and we are all still getting to know each other but just given them their corn before bedtime and had my first little pang of love for them...... Me and my lovely neighbour decided a few months back that we both wanted chickens but was a little put off by the responsibility individually so we decided to share chickens and responsibilities and so far so good. We live in a beautiful place and are soooooo blessed to have excellent neighbours on such a small row of cottages, out of the 7 houses 3 of us now have chickens Our original plan was to get a chicken each and call them Gladys and Agnes hence the forum name, but we ended up with 3 chickens and calling them Florence, Audrey and Hattie Anyway, just to say hello and introduce and if I can figure it out will try and get some pics up??? fluffy chick
Welcome to the world of chickens!!! I love the 'chicken share' idea! Great for holidays and taking it in turn to clean out and have lay ins! Hmm might go chat to my neighbour, only joking. Would love to see pics when you're set up.

Plum
Sounds great but who gets the eggs or do they lay different colours
Gladys and Agnes
We have a chicken each and a shared one to keep the eggs coming so hopefully should work out ok, we have a little egg bowl in the shed and all eggs go in there and we just take as we need

Barkisland
Sounds like a brilliant way of getting into chicken keeping - I look forward to hearing about the new hens, which I feel sure will be joining the existing flock in a few weeks!
