Looking for a large rabbit run.

Recommended Posts

Just wondering whether anyone knows any places online that do large rabbit runs? I have a french lop and he is huge. He's about 5 months old now so still has alot of growing to do so really need a run that will give him lots of space.

At the moment he is free ranging around the garden but he is just getting a nuisance and is digging and getting through everywhere and whenever we put something up to stop him getting through one place in the fence he finds another!

So I thought it would be best to get him a run and then when we are up the garden he can come out with us so we can keep an eye on him.

Any ideas of anywhere?

Thanks :)

no real supplier idea, but I have just made a run from omlet run wire? it's the standard run length, normal door on one end and weldmesh/wood reinforcement on the other end. works well for 2 minilops, easily moveable etc.

PAH have 1m sq rabbit runs for £70-80; the £80 ones are foldable, but not sure this would be big enough.

Have you thought about the base of the run? My lop is in a large WIR (built by OH) and she digs for Britain! I have to go in and block up the holes which really annoys her. She has also spread so much soil about that the grass in non existant. It looks like the trenches. I do not want to put wire on the base as it may hurt her if she digs and I don't think it would be nice for her to stand on. Have you any plans as he sounds like he is a digger too?

Try this website the runs are expensive, but offer a huge amount of space and work as a modular system, so you can add tunnels, runs and boxes to make it as big as you like: www.runaround.co.uk

They have higher tunnels for bigger rabbits.

A friend of mine has this hutch: http://www.thepetpads.co.uk/shop/rabbit-hutches-and-runs/the-york-out-of-stock-%7C8217/

and they keep an adult French lop in there, it's got plenty of room.
