peckingham palace
Today Primrose is in a very grumpy mood and is picking merciless on Lily. They have all lived together for over 4 weeks now with very little in the way of squabbles. I have sprayed Lily with some anti peck spray just to give her a bit of respite and will see how things go for the rest of the day. My question to you lovely forum people is, why all of a sudden the argy bargy? There is enough food and water to go round, have I done something wrong? They all seemed very happy until today and are laying eggs every day, in fact we have had several double yolkers!
poppy ben grace
oh dear, what a madam! Wouldnt like to say what the problem could be. Maybee she is getting more confident now you have had her for 4 weeks and feels she needs to throw her weight around a bit more? You could try the trusted water pistol trick, that might help. Good luck with it, poor old Lily!
Plum
I would think she's getting more mature and ready to change position in the pecking order. I always find they get more feisty as they come into lay and compete for food
peckingham palace
Thanks Plum, I was having a major worry about it all. Think Primrose is the most mature as she was laying when we got her and the others followed with Lily being one of the last to lay.
