Best liner/ bedding for drop tray

Hi, so have two Toulouse eggs under a broody, both eggs are cracked, one has a sizeable sort of hole and they're both cheeping away furiously, but this is 24 hours now and no sign of them actually making it out of the shell. Is this about the right timescale? I've only hatched hens before and they're normally out in hours not days. I'm really worried about them not making it out of the shell.....

Have no experience with geese, but hatched ducks this year and they took loads longer than chicks from pipping to hatch. I guess it's reasonable to think it could be similar with geese.
