52fish
Try the new glug that goes with the cube, but can be purchased separately. Holds enough water for 5 birds and they drink from the open top - should be fine.
Guest
put a breeze block or similar underneath for them to stand on or put in seperate drinkers.

crazy kc
The new superglug looks the same but doesn't have the nipples underneath. You use it the same way as a standard glug (they drink from the top).
johnandkymberley
How do the hens get into the superglug though? mine cant drink from it when the water is half way (thats when they drink from the top) but i want them to use the nipples if possible

But i WANT them to drink out the nipples, yesterday i tried to show them and they watched and walked off! i was hoping they would copy the others but they dont seem to be! Stedic
Hi John and Kimberly, I had similar issues with my girls about this time last year - they just refused to use it. I spent ages tapping it with a stick until they started trying to drink the stick! It was very frustrating. In the end I gave up and put in two standard Glugs. This year I tried again and they took to it with no problems whatsoever and without me showing them what to do. Are you providing another source of water for them? If so try taking it away. What I did was to let them have water in the morning from a Glug, so I knew they'd have enough to get through the day, but in the afternoon only let them have the superglug. I suppose it must have worked, not that I realised at the time.
johnandkymberley
hi, yes i have put them up but they flap on top and nearly end up in the superglug themselves!!! and that is getting all mud in the superglug, i have watched them today but as the free range as much as possible they find water in the fountain etc so not really restricted in a way
