Best liner/ bedding for drop tray

Yesterday, following the advice received from this great site, I drove like a maniac to our local supplier of the recommended growers' pellets. Having not visited this supplier before, I decided to take along a family member to try to persuade her that the 'pesky' chickens were not so bad. Sadly, I got carried away with my purchases and so on the return journey she spent even more time sighing. Thought you might like to see a picture of said family member mid sulk

Seriously, a friend of mine has pekin chickies and 2 ducks and her little spaniel who looks just like yours was not impressed at all to start with, but soon found there were clear advantages.
