Henergy
In our local paper today was a story of a local animal trust issuing a blow fly warning to anyone keeping chickens, especially aimed at new keepers who may not be aware of the danger posed. Unfortunately, the paper did not then go on to expand at all about what the danger was - so I'm hoping someone here can ? What are they refering too ? Redwing
I guess they are probably referring to the danger of flystrike which often isnt obvious in a chicken till you examine it closely

Chucky Mama
Flystrike can happen horribly quickly so look out in the warm weather. Just a pooey bottom on an ailing chicken is enough to allow them to get a hold.
