CluckyBucks
Hello forum I recently gained the cutest, tinyest, squeakiest speckled pekin from a farm last week, the only problem is that she was a victim of bullying, and so has little bum feather coverage I was just wondering how long it would take her to fully grow back her gorgeous feathers. -Protein is being supplied in the form of insects and mealworms xx xx
Redwing
you should see some improvement inside a month but it could take up to eight weeks to refeather completely
j00lz_12366
is that just pekins that take only 8 weeks-our ex batts are still VERY bald in places-doris and cissy werent too bad when we got them and they look good now 6 weeks on but betty and ada are still very tatty looking-theyre obviously healthy, they are very active and have lovely red combs and faces..butb theyre still tatty..is that normal? Goosey Lucy
Some of my ex-farm girls took nearly 6 months to refeather completely. They weren't battery but had been kept in very large free-range flocks. I did start to despair that they would ever look lovely but apart from one who still has no tail feathers nearly a year on, they are looking soooo much better. abwsco
Organic dried seaweed can help. I bought mine from Hillside Animal Sanctuary
