craftyhunnypie
ok - worked that out thanks!! now I'm on y3rn, k1 - where I poke my needle in the stitch, wrap yarn round 3 times & knit the stitch as normal. That's ok..it's the next bit I'm puzzled on. I then have to k to end, dropping extra loops - help again please. Emma.x
bluekarin
umm.....I can't decipher what you are asking, sorry! I only Googled how to reduce stitches when knitting and that site came up I'm sure someone who knows what they are on about will know exactly what you have asked and be able to help
Couperwife
you have the yarn wrapped round the needle 3 times for every stitch. you knit one stitch, then you pull the rest of the yarn off the needle so it gives you a really big stitch - a bit like if you knitted from a 25 mm needle onto a 2 mm needle, you would have lots of loose yarn. does that make sense?? cathy x
craftyhunnypie
At the mo - there looks like 3 sts for every stitch I've just knit, after the 3 times round needle. So do I poke my needle into the sets of 3 looking stitches now, or just one loop of the 3? Heck! Emma.x
Couperwife
just the first loop then knit like normal then pull the rest of the wool off the needle like normal, but you are pulling 3 loops off it
penelope
Beautifully put Couperwife! I like the site Ravelry as you can get all the info you need. Plus its great for choosing patterns as you get a lot of them for free & you can see other peoples items in different wool once they have knitted it. Watch out tho...its almost as expensive & as addictive as chickens! Good luck! Penelope. x

Couperwife
oh dear, i suppose thats better than sticking it in a corner and having a half knitted garment that you've lost the pattern for, or the other needles for (oh, am i giving all my secrets away?? ) cathy x
craftyhunnypie
Ha - you've discovered my secret too! I just see sooo many lovely projects, that I move onto the next. Sometimes I do finish stuff. I've cracked this ne one I've started - it's simple lace pattern - with a 4 row repeat that I can understand & do. I'm loving doing ssk - not used that before. I'm knitting in a coral colour - so then I can buy a nice halterneck maxi dress to go with it. The thing is - me being a short bum - maxi dresses are all way too long! You knitting owt at the moment?
