I have just put dd3 to bed and peeped out the window to see what the ladies are up to... and there was no chicken in sight after my initial panic I thought 'ooh they've finally started putting themselves to bed but no, when I got downstairs dh had gone and done it that's the second time he's tucked them up too early without blocking the nest box (he's only trying to help bless him )

He admitted to it last night! Had to have the same conversation with him as I did my 7 year old re no treats before 4pm he's worse than a child

Thought my lot had put themselves to bed last night at a decent hour rather than poncing about till past 9.30pm - nah, they were having an evening WI meeting under a low rose bush Only the two underlings were being good girls.

don't think they'll ever get the hang of it, not with dh to learn from anyway, probably have beer swilling, curry eating chooks by Christmas!
