Hi,

 

Does anyone in Scotland keep chickens on their allotment?

 

I live in Glasgow and due to get access to my allotment next month and I really want to keep chickens and a duck! I now that under the Allotment (Scotland) Act, poultry is permitted, but it appears that information and examples are few and far between!

Hi Derek & welcome. Great to have another Scot around, esp from Glasgow. Love the place Anyway, chickens & allotments. Don't have an allotment myself but there are allotments reasonably close by. Some of the owners have chickens collectively - hybrids- I think. They have a high fence & I think they free range around the allotments. It is a fairly new venture.
