After 12 days of getting my two bantam girls, my OH rang to tell me that Scoot has laid our first bantam egg , (of course the egg dance was completely necessary , I was at work at the time and got a few strange looks )

 

And what a whopper from such a little lady, Scoot isn't much bigger than a pigeon

 

Compared with Rosies' eggs (she's an ISA Brown)

 

 

If you're reading Redwing, you were right about the egg colour and after doing a little research you were also right about the breeding , I think she is more dutch bantam than welsummer bantam but I love her just the same .

Can't wait to see what Muppet will produce .

Muppet hasn't laid anything yet, but she is a little under the weather at the moment and currently on a course of Baytril.

Am hoping she picks up soon , I also think she was a lot younger than the breeder told me .
