witzend
YAY - finally got hold of my supplier (who's been busy winning loads of cups/certs/rosettes at N Yorks and Cheshire!) and I've picked my 4 little girlies I've had to change my plans slightly cos most of my 1st choices have turned into boys including a gorgeous white silkie and a cuckoo maran Never mind - hopefully coming tomorrow evening (after WIR - aka Bok Bok Bokingham Palace is up!) are the following: Gold Lace Wyandotte Partridge Araucana Buff Rock Blue Splash (bearded) Silkie £10 each - even BIGGER 'YAY' They're all currently housed together - I'm hoping this might lessen any squabbles - and they're all about 8-10 weeks old.........silkie being the biggest. Supplier is pretty confident on the Silkie sex but has said if it's starts crowing I can take it back!!! JPalmer
Yes my breeder told me the same thing and out of 3 chickens there were 2 cockerals (sigh). But by then hubby and I were soooooo in love with them that the thought of getting rid of them makes us sick. Since our back garden sits behind someone elses and the gardens are only about 20 ft each my neighbors hate me. We have the house up for sale and plan to move hopefully real soon. So just think you could end up moving house Which is great for my MOREHENS disease!!!
witzend
I'm afraid I'd have to take it back and/or go through introductions with another - can't contemplate moving on my own with the 100s of animals I have!

witzend
OK - so I hardly slept and then decided to get up at 6 rather than my 'wanted' lie in til 8 !! WIR should be started soon - promised to be here before 11.30 Have now got some budgie grit - until the chick grit arrives, a bit of crumb (pet shop gave me some 'spare' without charging !!!) and everything is now 'ready' Now it's here, it's a bit scary - but I'm sure I'll be fine as long as there aren't too many hitches during the day!! I promise to put pictures up asap - it may be later tonight or tomorrow.............all this and getting ready for a bit reptile show on Sunday....must be barking......
