Hi, me again ! Well next week we are going to look at the FSF MAggie six Longlegged with long run. Lovely - but why is there a little voice in my head saying 'if you are spending that much you could get a cube ???'

 

Now, I am a lover of wood & I adore the look of the FSF one. So, does anyone have a picture of a cube set up with the Omlet 3m run (ie not in a WIR) and if so, how many chickens would you keep in it & is it 3m from end of cuge to run or is the run 3m - for some reason I can't see any dimensions anywhere !!!

Cube manual is hereand the dimensions include the space under the cube so a 3m run would be 1m under the cube plus a further 2m in front of the cube

Thank you - I think you get a much better idea looking at a real set up rather than a brochure picture. It does look nice. Was it hard to put the edging on ?

Zoebunny, where did you get your shelf thing? I am thinking about introducing a 2nd tier myself!

It was 2 tiers of one of those cheap plastic mini greenhouses...

Works a treat!! You just need to cable tie the mesh to frame, and frame to run panel... my girls love it!

Not really.. just punch a couple of holes and cable tied it. With hindsight it would have probably been better to have put it on the inside of the run as opposed to the outside as the auboise does tend to get stuck in between it and the run mesh. Picked it up a couple of rolls from the poundshop which was enough. Might re-do at a later date inside.

When you go to Flyte So Fancy, why not think about one of their smaller walk-in runs with a Cube installed inside? Could be a dream setup.
