Went to check my broody and 4 eggs and although 1 has started to pip i found another that had not been kept warm. i put it back under mabel but fear it may be too late. this brings the chick count down to 3 which is a bit of a shame. oh well i am hoping and the others will be ok. Question, should i shut the door to the broody coop to keep them warmer ? mabel never leaves the nest unless i lift her off. Also how long do i leave them to hatch by themselves before i interfere? So worried they wont get out on their own! Its so hard with them under the hen, as at least in the incubator you can see how they are getting on. So excited and worried too!
