How long does it take to hatch?

Recommended Posts

It can be ages, 24 hours still. Best to leave it to it, as if you keep opening the incubator it will effect the temp stability, don't worry if it doesn't hatch before you go to bed chicks can stay in the incubator without food and water for a day.

It is under a Broody. Am i too guess i am to leave her to it and not worry about her getting out and eating and drinking? I was a little concerned it is quite warm at the mo and i didn't want her to forget about herself, as i hear they can do. Anything else i need to know to make this a success? All advice helpful :D

If it's warm I would put the water next to her (in something that won't tip over and shallow with marbles etc. in for the chicks safety), and maybe offer her some food once or twice in the day. This has been what I have been doing with my broody during the hotter days (hatch day is due tomorrow :D !)

You have to upload them onto another website like photobucket or flickr (although I think photobucket is easier).

There's a guide in the FAQs here: http://club.omlet.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=21972

Alternatively, some people just give a link to the relevant album on facebook etc.

Can't wait for the pics! I just went to check on my broody and let her out and noticed one had pipped
