Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

How does the door open & on which side is the mechanism ? same side as eggport or other side ?

It's on a slider - you pull a handle out to close it so need room on the outside to allow for the handle/bar (when it's shut) The bar is all the way in when the doors open and it's on the opposite side to the eggport. Hope that makes sense.
