kitbag
hi guys! Quick question about requesting new books to go onto the Kindle store! I know a lot of you have kindles and was wondering how long it usually takes for a publisher to put a book onto the kindle after you have clicked the button the request it. Some of the rest of the series is already on there so I'm hoping it won't take too long! Thanks in advance for your replies! Cinnamon
There was a book I wanted,so I went and requested it daily.....it was published in Kindle format a month or so later. I am after the sequal now! They do not inform you if it is published, you need to check back regularly. Also search via the author , as a different version of the book may be released in Kindle, rather than the one you are 'watching'
squiffs
I think they get published depending on demand, surely? So if you want it sooner - ask everyone to request it!
Cinnamon
That said, some publishing houses are much quicker than others,& some series of books, the Harry Potters for instance, are not available (yet) despite obvious high demand.
abwsco
the Harry Potters for instance, are not available (yet) despite obvious high demand. That's always been down to Rowling though. She made a big announcement on the 23rd June though to say she will be releasing them J.K. Rowling, the author behind the blockbuster fantasy series, said at a news conference in London that a new interactive Web site built around the series will also sell the e-book editions of the seven Harry Potter books, previously available only in print and as audio books. “I wanted to give something back to the fans that have followed Harry so devotedly over the years, and to bring the stories to a new digital generation,” Ms. Rowling said

craftyhunnypie
Ooo naughty! How did you do that then - only asking as I'd like to share or pass on kindle books to my mum & vice versa. Emma.x
Cinnamon
I don't think you can pass on Kindle books without the other persons Kindle being linked to your account. As the HP books were not Kindle books but ones I picked up from another source,I was able to send friends the files
