squiffs
As an archaeologist I don't put much stock in this diet - there's evidence of many of the restricted things being present in the Palaeolithic diet even up to 100,000 years ago. The NHS thinks it's a 'fad diet' too - so from a nutritional, evolutionary and nutritional perspective I'm quite skeptical. However looking at its 'restraints', I don't put salt in my food, I don't eat meat, don't cook with oil much and tend to try and use unrefined sugar etc. I'm also lactose intolerant so I restrict my dairy intake a lot, but I would never cut things out completely - especially not suddenly. Good luck with it though - what is your intent, weight loss? well-being? detox? It will be interesting to see your thoughts.

The Dogmother
Just cutting any overly processed food out of your diet will help, some of the man-made ingredients are really addictive and have a nasty effect on your metabolism.
