I have already posted on the Egg Forum but perhaps I should have asked for advice here.

It is a long story. Lola who is a hybrid and just over 1 year old on two occasions recently has laid an egg without a shell. She appeared unwell after and then improved. I have increased the time she has access to layers pellets, reduced treats and added grit to the container. She free ranges with Layla most of the day. The girls were wormed about 3 months ago and I am about to do it again with Flubenvet. I thought she was better as she laid a perfect egg however today things took a turn for the worse. First thing this morning she was in the nest box and when she got up it was very wet. In the tray there appeared to be 'white' and green semi solid poo, quite watery. I gave her some pellets but she only pretended to eat them she eventually seemed to lay more 'white' also membrane/soft shell. She then appeared much brighter but tonight she is still not normal and spent more time sitting down today than she would normally do. She is just not as enthusiastic about things. I checked her vent and everything appears to be normal.

Sorry this has been a bit of a ramble but I am trying to put in everything that has happened over the last week in the hope of getting some advice so that I can help poor Lola.

I am thinking of taking her to the vet but I will need to find one who knows a lot about chickens....I don't think mine does.
