loumabel
Hope you can all help me with my latest problem. My chooks seem to have stopped laying. They are only 7 months old and all seem to be healthy. They are losing lots of feathers at the moment but I thought they were too young to moult . I have one broody pekin, who has been broody all summer and that is why she is not laying, the other 5 have been in and out of broodiness but I don't think that is the problem now I have cut back on all treats and they just have some greens in the afternoon, I have also wormed them about a month ago. I would be very grateful for any help and advice.
patsylabrador
I only know my three little bantams and am not very knowledgeable about chickeny things. I can tell you however that my ladies who are about two now have had periods of not laying, moulting and general weirdness that pass and they always seem ok. If any of them looks a little pale or under weight I do the same and cut back on treats so they eat plenty of pellets. They lay more regularly in the winter than in the summer if that helps.
