Sleeping alone?

Recommended Posts

After the sad demise of one of my hybrids this week, Pepper is now on her own. After considering getting one or two more hybrids and seeking advice on here I decided instead to try integrating her with the Pekin Bantams (had three at the time but gave one to my sister this morning so now only have two  ).

It seems to be going fine, Pepper is chasing the Pekins when she gets the chance but as they free-range in the garden it's easy for them to escape before she catches them! However, the Pekins have their own coop which Pepper is too big to get into so it means she's still sleeping in her old coop alone .... is this ok do you think? Is she likely to get lonely not having another hen in the coop at night or will she just be asleep and not care :?
