Hi I also use omlet organic crumbs I changed to omlet as my hens really didn't like pellets , first I tried a mash which was very powdery and made them quite thirsty. They do like the organic omlet feed but it is expensive and the postage costs alot. I now have alot more chickens so I am trying to find a stockist of smallholder mash / crumb layer feed which they have just launched, its for free range hens though its not organic. The make you mention I have not heard of so can't help there. Just to mention though that the pellets in the smallholder range are nice and small. Hope that helps a little.

After 3 months, I discovered my hens preferred mash too! I started them on Smallholder's layers pellets which they ate but there was always some left at the end of every day. I then bought layers mash from a farm feed shop and they love it! I gave it to them dry to begin with, then read (on here :D ) to add water and make a sort of 'porridge'. They acted like they'd never been fed before - all gone at the end of every day! I also add bokashi bran sometimes, which they also love, bought from Omlet.
