I have got an eglu classic and was wondering what you put on the pull out litter tray (if anything) and when you say bedding do people mean for the nest boxes, i probaly sound stupid but i now have everything other than bedding and litter materials and chickens

I put Rapport/Hemcore in the pull out poo tray and in the nesting boxes. It soaks up any liquid in the poo, helps to cut down on smells. In the nest box it helps to provide a soft landing for any egg

Unlike chopped straw it won't let mites crawl up inside and stays dry very well.

We just use newspaper on the litter tray and in the nest box straw with newspaper lining the nest box

we try to remove the poo on the newspaper twice a week and then give the eglu a good scrub once every two weeks with dienfectant

I use Aubiose in the nest box and in the litter trays, lined with newspaper first so any liquidy poo is soaked up. It also has eucalyptus in it which helps keep flies away. It also clumps the poo together so its easy to pick out.

I use straw in nest box and newspaper in droppings tray.
