Jam help please

Hi

Made 2 jars of blueberry jam equal fruit to sugar. Boiled it checked setting point and bottles. But it didn’t set in the jars it’s thickened but not set. Can I tip it back in the pan add some liquid pectin and boil again re sterilizing the jars?

It depends on how thick you like your jam, I don't tend to worry so long as it has thickened, our strawberry jam is always quite runny, but it still keeps well.

 

If you you do want to thicken it more then you can reboil it but you will have to be careful not to overdo it, my mother made some of my thin strawberry jam into strawberry concrete by reboiling it :roll:
