johnandkymberley
Hi all, Okay have decided to give my girls an MOT (well a chicken one!) Basically laying hasnt been great and i have used natural wormers but now im going to use some flubenvet pellets so they are being wormed, loused, am rubbing some vaseline into combs that are dry (lilys is really rough and dry) and having fresh garlic cloves into there water (they have garlic in the superglugs all the time) is there anything else i can do? the cube and run are newly cleaned too xxxx
Green Tea
You could put some poultry tonic or acv in their water - not sure if you'd have to take the garlic out or if you can do both at once though
mollyripkim
Mine are having chicken spice at the moment, Henrietta was looking really tatty following broodiness and then moult but now just a couple of weeks in she looks much fluffier and has loads of new feathers coming through. Chucky Mama
I would leave them too it, you may well be causing undue stress by over handling them and chopping and changing their diet. A good quality pellet or layers mash should be all that they need along with some green leaves/veg or the opportunity to free range.
johnandkymberley
they do need worming though, desperatly so whilst doing that will louse and rub some vaseline into lilys comb. I have given ACV and Poultry tonice not long ago so will leave that for now but will continue with that. I am only lousing them as i have noticed some visitors on Violet xxx
