Katrisha Posted July 23, 2011 Share Posted July 23, 2011 My 6wk old chick has just been asleep on the floor next to me, and she's been doing some right squawking! It sounded like she was having a nightmare! There wasn't any movement like when dogs chase rabbits in their sleep, she had her beak all neatly tucked under her wing - but she wasn't half making some noise! And when she just woke up, she carried on for a few moments, like she'd startled herself or something. Is this normal? Do other people's chickens dream?! Cats and dogs certainly have amusing dreams to watch, even our guinea pig twitched and squeaked in her sleep. I guess a camera set up in the roost might answer the question!
