Unsecure chicken perches

Yesterday I watched a 2 week old chick have a very long piggy back ride on her Mothers back. Mum didn't know what to do to get her off.

 

This morning a Pekin girl has discovered that if she stands on the run she can reach the leaves in the apple tree and was merrily munching away.

 

Funniest of all was my little Pekin boy (16 weeks) is so desperate for lady love that he took to standing on the main hen house roof and then leaping onto an unsuspecting female when she came out of the pop hole. Needless to say he has had no success yet bless him. He keeps hopping about from one foot to the other as if to release his pent up energy.
