Any Experience Of Complaining To First Choice?

Recommended Posts

We went to Majorca in May with my parents, so a group of eight in total. We booked with First Choice, as I have for many years, and stayed on an all inclusive basis at a hotel we'd previously stayed in around 11 years ago. I cried on an almost daily basis  I didn't enjoy it at all. We were made to feel like a nuisance. My list of complaints is as long as my arm including such delights as being shouted at by hotel restaurant staff for joining two tables together so that we could all eat our meal at the same table  The hotel had changed so much since our last stay there and was unrecognisable.

I wrote an epic email to First Choice/Thomson/TUI and yesterday finally received a response. I get the impression it was mostly a copy and paste job, all very scripted. I can rip to shreds their pathetic excuses and have proof to back up my claims.

What should I do next? I'm not letting this one drop easily!

Just wondered if you actually told them what you want them to do in recompense.

In my experience if you state what you want, when you are complaining, you are more likely to get a result. If you only list complaints, they will always be 'sorry to hear of your disappointment etc.....'

No you shouldn't let it go, good luck Griffin

Not sure I would agree with that - I prefer to explain my concerns, summarise,& then tell them that I expect a response from them within 7 days.

I have often been happily surprised with offers beyond what I expected.

Complaint letter (NEVER email) writing is an art, & something I pride myself in
