mumblecheekyuggs
Hi, I have a two floored wooden hutch that chels (my rabbit) lives in, but wanted to know how you get a rabbit in the eglu at night. If they do it on their own i may consider the option. Thanks for any answers!!!!!!
LolaLayla
My rabbit is housed in an eglu at the moment as she has babies. She and the babies sit outside in the run at night. Occasionally I have found the babies snuggled together inside on my final check of the day but that is only if it has been a bit chilly. When she was in her wooden hutch which is in a tool shed in a WIR I did not shut her away at night and she used to sit out even in the snow! The only way you could get your rabbit in is to tempt it with a cabbage leaf or whatever is a treat and quickly shut the door once in. beach chick
I actually wouldnt advise shutting them in the eglu at night unless they are very mini bunnies, because I dont think there is enough room to stretch out. if you search this section of the forum there have been threads on this subject...
