chickenopolis Posted August 18, 2011 Share Posted August 18, 2011 Said to OH that we need to do the weekly check up on the girls before we go out on Friday night (you know, the usual, check under wings, around vent, ears, have a listen to their chests, check feet....) to which he said to them (whilst they were sitting in the kitchen - well it was raining), "Brace yourself girls - Friday night is Vent Spruce Night". OH surveyed our hens nether regions and said" what am I looking for?" He enjoys a chook hug, is fairly hands on and will happily hold any of the girls and whisper sweet nothings in their ears (which is more than he does with me....). I did ask him to clean out the run the other night - it was either that or do the washing up....know which one I would choose.
