Happy Mrs Chicken
Went to collect eggs this morning and one of my hens had blood all over her bum and in the nest box. I had to separate her as the others were pecking her.I gave her a bath ,theres nothing hanging outside her vent but when she does a poo theres blood and other gunk coming out I'm taking her to the vet later,I hope its not the end for her
Chucky Mama
Try to keep her clean until you get her to the vet and if it is warm with you (chucking it down here) keep an eye out for fly strike, it happens very quickly.

Chucky Mama
Good luck with her. The outlook in not usually particularly good though so do prepare yourself. If it has gone back in itself that is more promising
Lewis
It is obvious when they have prolapsed, maybe she has torn something when laying or prolapsed and gone back in. Good luck at the vets
Space Chick
I would say she has ruptured something inside, I doubt it's a prolapse. This happened to one of my girls once when she laid a HUGE egg once, she went on to live for another year with no further issues. Although she did succumb to a prolapse in the end. Happy Mrs Chicken
Vet thinks she may have torn something a little inside, then the other hens have been pecking her when they have seen some blood and made things worse. She says to keep her away from the others until its better,so fingers crossed i hope she will be ok. Thanks for your replies.
sandyhas3chucks
one of mine has had a delvosterone injection to prevent laying for 6 /8 weeks (apart from anything in the pipe line...) for a similar problem. Fingers crossed for you.
