Hi, I am need to move closer to my parents & need to be within 3-4 hours by train of Hampshire. My criteria is 4 beds in an ok area under 125K. So far my searches have brought up Nuneaton, Nottingham, Rugby, Rushden, Bedworth & Gloucester.Now I know that crime is everywhere but the statistics all seem a bit scary when the village I live in had the grand total of 3 'incidents' for June! I know that a few of you come from these areas so I thought that I'd canvass your opinion rather than listen to people who don't even live there! I've been taken by houses in: St Stephens Road, Sneinton, Notts, Beauvale Road, Notts, Cross Street, Stockingford Notts, Bedworth, Gloucester, Giltbrook Notts, Sutton in Ashford, Hartshill Nuneaton, Inham Road, Chilwell Notts, New Ollerton, Hucknall, Notts & finally Arbury Road Nuneaton! Thanks for any pointers!

I can help with Arbury Road Nuneaton as I've had to try to drive along it to both Stockingford and Park lane schools it's a bit on the narrow side and gets a bit busy and a nightmare to drive along

Is it an ok area though? I know anywhere is not safe if you're in the wrong place at the wrong time, but I've fallen head over heals in love with a house there!

Rushden isnt bad, its worth a look and you get plenty for your money over east Northants

 

The area is generally poorer than the west/south part of Northamptonshire but not massively problematic

Hi there. I live in Hartshill, Nuneaton and have done for twenty years. We think its an ok area to live in and its pretty rural being on the outskirts of the town near the country park
