Chicken boarders

I collected my cube today but now have another dilemma. The girls will be going to the chicken sitter in 2 weeks while we're away on holiday - so do I move them into the cube now, before they go on hols or when they come home? If the latter, do I move them directly into the cube after their hols, or back to the classic and then into the cube once they're settled back home?? Any advice anyone can give would really be appreciated.

I'd do it after their holiday straight into the cube to keep the stress levels down put them in the cube for an hour then let them ouy into the run yje same as if you were getting new birds

Thanks for the reply SJP. You confirmed what I was thinking was probably the best option to minimise their stress.

I would agree with SJP it reduces the number of changes that they have to cope with. Mine moved into the cube from the eglu with no porblems. The friendliest I put in via the egg port so they knew where bed was and the ones I can never get hold of, were enticed into the WIR with treats. They all managed the ladder with no problems.

 

The first night, it wasn't elegant but they all got in and out in the morning
